Tiki And Tierney 6-Pack Of Picks: Week 2

It’s time for the weekly Tiki and Tierney 6-Pack of Picks, with Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney picking six games – three college, three pro – against the spread (or under/over).

Looking ahead to this weekend, Tierney likes the Ravens (-8) against the Browns, the Raiders (-13.5) against the Jets, and is taking the over in Titans/Jags (42).

“Usually when you’re looking for an easy cherry-pick win, you just bet against the Browns,” Tierney said. “I want to be clear about this: This isn’t me disrespecting the Browns. I think they’re going in the right direction. I like DeShone Kizer, and I like Hue Jackson. However, that defense is formidable. It is fierce. And now you have a rookie on the road, first time, Flacco chipped away some rust, he looks healthy, eight points, single digits – yeah, I’ll lay the eight, and I’ll watch them cover.”

Looking at the college ranks, Tierney likes USF (-17) against Illinois, Virginia (-10.5) against Connecticut, and Notre Dame (-13) at Boston College.

Barber, meanwhile, likes Air Force (+23.5) at Michigan, Oklahoma State (-11.5) at Pitt, and Wisconsin (-16.5) at BYU. He also likes Tampa Bay (-7) against the Bears, the Browns (+8) at Baltimore, and is taking the over in Dolphins/Chargers (45.5).

“In order to win these things against BT – because I have been unsuccessful in five years so far – sometimes I have to pick a game against him, and I did that this weekend with the Cleveland Browns taking on the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore,” Barber said. “Now it’s hard for a rookie to go into Baltimore and win because historically they’ve been so good defensively, as they are this year. The Cleveland Browns, though, are also good defensively – or at least improving defensively. It’s a young team. I know Myles Garrett is still banged up, but they’re aggressive, they play fast, I think they’ll slow this game down, hand the rock of to Isaiah Crowell, don’t make DeShone Kizer do too much and they keep it close. They’re not going to win, but give me Cleveland plus-8.”

Browns/Ravens kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
