UFC fighter and former Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm joined Tiki And Tierney on CBS Sports Radio in studio. Last night, it was announced she would be on the UFC 208 card at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in February.
“This is a huge opportunity. I want to make the most of it,” Holm said. “I’m coming off two losses. Everybody wants to talk about the Ronda fight, but that’s not what sticks in my head. What’s in my head is I’m coming off two losses. I want to come back and show everybody that I’m better than that.”
Which loss hurts more, Miesha Tate?
“Probably not,” said Holm. “Getting choked out completely…in that fight I knew I was winning up to that point. To get beat to get beat, she outpointed me. That bothers me more.”
Tierney believes it’s over for Ronda Rousey.
“I don’t know if she’s going to be able to come back,” said Holm. “I do feel like she has a different demeanor about her. A lot of people feel how you feel. For me, I’m never going to say one way or the other. It just depends on what Ronda we get. Is she going to get hit and freeze? Or is she going to say hell no not tonight?”
