NFL Network analyst and former head coach Brian Billick dropped by CBS Sports Radio’s Tiki And Tierney Thursday to talk about a multitude of topics. One is the fact that the Cleveland Browns are still winless at 0-13. Billick essentially predicted them to go winless before the season started.
“I don’t take any job in saying the Cleveland Browns aren’t any good,” Billick said. “I didn’t predict them to go 0-16, I would never predict that. I said I just don’t know where they get a win. I don’t see a win on their schedule. I don’t see a game where they’re even going to be favored. That appeared to be right now. The challenge for Cleveland right now is holding that thing together. They got Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill running the organization.”
Hue Jackson has had a rough time of it thus far in Cleveland. Another coach having a rough time this year in Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. The Bengals are 5-7-1 and have not won a playoff game ever under Lewis. Do the Bengals need to make a change?
“I’m a fan of Marvin Lewis. He coached for me in Baltimore. I think he’s an outstanding coach,” Billick said. “Sometimes there has to be change just for change. Both for the organization and the coach. They can get a different coach than Marvin Lewis, but they’re not going to get better. Sometimes that’s what you have to do.”
