After a 3-3 week for Tiki Barber and a 2-3-1 week for Brandon Tierney, the weekly 6-Pack of Picks looks poised to come down to the final games of the season. Entering Week 10, Barber’s 29-24-1 (54.6 percent) leads Tierney’s 26-24-4 (51.9 percent) – but just barely.
Looking at this weekend, Barber likes Denver (-5.5) against Kansas City, Philadelphia (-6) against Miami, and Green Bay (-11.5) against Detroit. He also likes North Texas (+41) at Tennessee, Washington State (+10.5) at UCLA, and is taking the over over SMU/Navy (61).
“(The Lions) are falling apart,” Barber said. “They’re getting rid of everybody. Green Bay gets back on track with their offense, which has been a little bit pedestrian. I’m taking Green Bay.”
Tierney, meanwhile, likes Tennessee (+5.5) against Carolina, Minnesota (+3) against Oakland, and is taking the over in Chiefs/Broncos (41.5). He also likes Old Dominion (-6.5) against UTEP, Purdue (+15.5) at Northwestern, and Temple (-2.5) at South Florida.
“It’s a low number,” Tierney said of the over/under for KC/Denver. “It’s the only reason I’m jumping on it. We know about Kansas City. It’s been a strange season – although they’re showing signs of rising (above it). That’s just a low number for an NFL (game). I’m taking the over.”
